How Long Is Now: This says everything I'm feeling this weekend:
"So you go on your own, and you stand on your own, then you go home and you cry and you want to die.
So what happens now? But what exactly do you mean? You see I've already waited too long, and all my hope is gone. I am human and I need to be loved, Just like everybody else does."
The man is pure genius. Those words. It's like they're straight out of my soul this morning.
Hail Morrissey.

No Tip Jar
I got rid of the tip jar feature already. There's too much pressure. I don't have anything on my blog that's worth a cent. Besides, I don't like getting paid for doing the stuff I love. Is that crazy?? That's supposed to be the point in life. But the minute I start doing something because I'm 'getting paid' or I'm trying to win something, all the joy goes out of it. I want to do something just because it's here, whether or not anyone reads it.
And it's most fun of all when it turns into something I'm 'wasting time' on.........That's when things really become enjoyable. When I'm supposed to be doing something else!!! (Usually a job)

Cold, Gray Saturday
It's gray and glum outside. 65 degrees. A good day to work on those craft projects. I have three in the line-up: Scrapbooking my most recent pictures-but I'm waiting for my new albums from Amazon. #2 trying this new design where you iron Wonder bread bags to adhere the polka dot design. And #3 finishing up this crochet sailboat doilie. (Yes. People still crochet doilies....not to use. Just to attempt!!) Starting wiiiiiith......The doilie.

Recycling
My neighbor keeps setting out his cardboard for the garbage truck when he could set it in the same place, at the same time, just two days later for the recycling truck. Gets on my nerves...........
hot Hot HOT
Yesterday it was 99 degrees on the sunporch, 90 degrees upstairs, 85 degrees downstairs, and 75 degrees in the cellar.....I'm enjoying my time down here in the "Bat Cave"

A Wrinkle in Time
I got a copy of A Wrinkle in Time from a garage sale about 2 years ago, but I'm just getting around to it in my sky high pile of books.
I remember having to suffer through this book when I was about 10 or 11 years old, for a school project, Fantasy books were not My Thing!! This book and that dreaded Phantom Tollbooth....(but that's for another day) Wrinkle in Time put me to sleep faster than a politically correct text book story with 'Questions at the end of the chapter'.
Yet...... now I'm totally loving it! It just goes to show- adults thinking they know what kid's will like have no idea. Most likely, if an adult is crazy about a book, kid's are going to be bored out of their mind. When I was 10, all I wanted to read were those corny Baby-Sitter Club Books and Sweet Valley Twins. Only now am I able to appreciate the imagination and fascination of Madeleine L'Engle.
(Feel free to comment. Everyone is welcome)
