Why is it that plants look so lush and full of blooms in those tiny black pots at the garden centers, and when they hit my spacious, watered down garden, they flop over like rabbit's ears???
I saw a man at an auction the other day with the most incredible eyelashes I have ever seen. They must've were half an inch long and perfectly curled.... How is it possible I can be jealous of a man's eyelashes? !!!
93 degrees today. Uuuuuugh! It's a good day to pull out the blender and whip up an iced milkshake. I'm going to throw some French Vanilla in there for a kick and enjoy it outside in the shade! Your overheated, overworked Brew Crew member at Coffee-Mate Brew Crew

My Top Ten Warm Weather Activities List

@Coffeemate USA Brew Crew has inspired me to make up my Top Ten List of the Best Warm Weather Activities, so here we go:

1. Plant organic vegetables. This is a workout for the entire summer. Just planting the seeds is only the start, then there's maintaining and weeding and wtering all summer long! Nothing beats a good ripe tomato!

2. Play croquet! The long forgotten backyard sport that is loads of fun.

3. Make Kool-aid popsicles. Just pour some into an ice tray, poke in a toothpick, and in a few hours you have homemade popsicles. This is an age-old summer activity

4.Take a picture of each of the flowers growing in your yard in the peak of summer!

5. Let your kids play sprinkler tag. Another classic!

6. Go to a festival carnival or parade. Every town has one every weekend in the summer

7. Cruise around with the windows down. Free air conditioning!

8. Skywatch! It's finally warm enough to take a telescope out in the middle of the night!

9.Ride your bike to town. If you're going to run errands, might as well do them the old fashioned way. Pretend it's 1955.

10.Make an ice cream cake, or any other kind of chilled dessert

That's my Top 10. Now share some ideas with me! #Coffeemate USA Brew Crew member Janet

March Madness

Well, I finally figured out why I suck at picking brackets: It's the math, stupid! Crosswords and Sudoko have set outcomes, all you have to do is find the path there. March madness brackets contain too many variables. Variables, of course, are uncontrollable. There's no way on this good green Earth you're ever going to get all 64 variables correct! *sigh* But for crying outloud, can't I get even 50%?! LOL

New! New! New Experiences!

Some of you may think I've lost my mind a bit, but my New Year's resolution this year was to learn not one, not two, but 9! new languages.
Why 9? Because I keep getting these "Learn To Speak..." books off Amazon for a couple bucks a piece, and now it's time to put them to use.
This is working out gangbusters for me (I've actually been sticking to this resolution) and I think I know the secrets:
1. Take small bites. It's true what they say-Don't bite off more than you can chew. I learn 3 new phrases a day. It's enough to remember, and the next thing I know- here it is, February, and I'm able to hold one small conversation in each language.
2. Pick a designated time to work on your new Goal and stick to it. If 6:00 p.m. is Language Study Time, I won't keep pushing it off until the day is over and I didn't study anything!
3. Research your hobby. Dig into it online, find people with similar interests, read up about it.
Ciao, friends! A bientt! Janet@CoffeemateUSA Brew Crew

Freezing Rain :(

Icy outside. HOW many days until spring??? I'm staring at a bucket of rannunculus and longing to dig my shovel into the dirt! I've got more bulbs than land, but I'm going to squeeze those in all over the place!
Think spring.....Think spring......

The Library!

Reason #1118 why I love the library: Three weeks ago it was a bag of free Family Tree magazines, 2 weeks ago it was How To Paint and Artist magazines, and today it was 3 free Gardening magazines. Maybe this is the year I grow vegetables with something on the other end!!.If not, I'll paint my garden, if not that- I'll just stick to my Family tree!!
